Hidden away in the dusty, forgotten corners of the family attic, Bruno is no ordinary child. With a single, curious eye that sees the world in a way no one else can Bruno spends his days enveloped in his imagination. On occasion he escapes his confines into the house before he is inevitably returned to his domain by the stern hand of Boris. But with every flight of freedom he returns to the attic with glimpses of the outside world which he twists and turns in his mind into grotesque distortions. His mother Gurtrude’s antiques, Father Boris’ woodcarvings, his brother Ilya’s prints. All of these objects inform his inner world. Bruno specializes in dreams that have yet to be dreamed.
